Hello again, everyone. Thank you to those who got involved and enjoyed the Summer get-together on the 15th. We’re hoping to use the Games Room more regularly for group activities, and Allison is currently organising a visit from Clarins to demonstrate and sample some products – who doesn’t love a bit of pampering?
We’ll be refurbishing the two meeting rooms on either side of my office in the same style as the Games Room, and we will be reaching out to ask for suggestions on what to name these spaces to help better manage their booking and usage.
As we enter Autumn, the next big event in our social calendar is, of course, the Christmas Party. We still have 3 and a half months to go, but it’s good to be prepared! This year it will be held on Friday, 12th December at the Colony in Wilmslow. Keep an eye out for more details in the October/November newsletter.
As always, many thanks,
Nick H.
World Suicide Prevention Day takes place on 10th September and is a chance to raise awareness of suicide, encourage open conversations, and highlight the support available to those in need. Every year, organisations and communities come together to spread hope and share the message that suicide is preventable. This year’s theme focuses on the importance of creating hope through action – reminding us that small acts of compassion and connection can make a real difference.
The Samaritans are encouraging people to get involved by learning how to support others, challenging stigma, and promoting the importance of talking openly about mental health. They also provide free, confidential support 24/7 for anyone struggling to cope. By raising awareness and reaching out to one another, we can all play a role in reducing suicide and helping to create a world where fewer lives are lost.
