Umbrella-Company Ltd provides umbrella and payroll services to contractors and freelancers. Breeze is a trading style of Umbrella-Company Ltd and is an outsourced PAYE service.

For example, when you first join Umbrella-Company Ltd our Marketing Team will send you an email asking what your preferences are to receive emails from us. You’ll have the opportunity to tick a box to ask to receive email newsletters or information about new products and services from Umbrella.co.uk.
We might need do an ECS check with the Home Office to confirm your eligibility to work. If you are a Non EU citizen and you don’t currently have your eligibility to work to provide us with, but do have a pending application with the Home Office, then we can carry out an ECS check. You would just need to provide us with your Case ID Number and your consent to carry out the check.
When collecting your personal data, we’ll always make clear to you which data is necessary in connection with your service.

All our Umbrella employees/customers are automatically subscribed to our Rewards Package. We’ll pass your details to our trusted partner People Service Solutions who manage the rewards scheme and our Workplace Pension (see Legal Compliance below). They will send you a welcome email to access your payslips and rewards scheme portal when you first join Umbrella.co.uk. They may send you a newsletter branded as Umbrella but sent from People Service Solutions . You have the right to unsubscribe from these emails and a link will be clearly provided to do this if you wish.
We may also need to share your personal data with your recruitment agency in order to meet our legitimate and contractual obligations to you.
If the law requires us to, we may need to collect and process your data.
For example, we can pass on details of people involved in fraud or other criminal activity affecting Umbrella-Company Ltd to law enforcement. We also may need to pass on your details to government organisations in order to process your pay or establish your eligibility to work, e.g. HMRC or UK Border Control. We will also pass your details to our trusted partner People Service Solutions who operate our Workplace Pension Scheme. People Service Solutions also send your tax and NI payments to the relevant authorities e.g. HMRC.

With regards to the insolvency division of Umbrella Accountants LLP, where an Insolvency Practitioner of Umbrella Accountants LLP is not appointed as officeholder, the data controller is the company/individual on whose instructions he is acting. Where an Insolvency Practitioner of Umbrella Accountants LLP is appointed as Liquidator or Administrator over a company and acts as the company’s agent, the company is the data controller of company data. Where an Insolvency Practitioner of Umbrella Accountants LLP is appointed over an individual, the officeholder will be the data controller in respect of personal data processed in the estate. The officeholder will also be data controller in respect of practitioner data (personal information generated as a result of their responsibilities as officeholder), which will include information on the company’s creditors and directors.
